Harrison Hydra-Gen Discrete Unit
Harrison Discrete (DAS/DPC) units are the Motor/Generator assembly removed from the tray unit of a MAS or MPC. If you already have a hydraulic system in place or want to provide the hydraulic reservoir, heat exchanger, and filter then a Discrete may be the best option for your application. A Discrete is tested and shipped with a matching pump, just as all of our units are. Below is a description of the components that are included with a Discrete system.
A patented Motor/Generator close coupled assembly. These units include a manifold containing a safety relief (DPC only) and cross-port check valve. The motor is a high efficient bent axial piston motor. The generator is a two-pole, 3600rpm capacitor controlled generator (DAS) or four-pole, 1800rpm voltage regulated generator (DPC), design with no slip rings, and containing class “H” insulation with an additional marine coating on the windings for extra protection.
